I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa and began working abroad after completing a first degree in Psychology and Human Resources at the University of Cape Town. I spent the next ten years working abroad, gaining life experience and clarity on my vision and life purpose. During this time I also completed further training in Nutrition Counselling and Life Coaching at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City, USA; and Whole Food Medicinal Cooking for health and wellness at the Natural Gourmet Institute Culinary School also in New York City.
After my emigration to Australia in 2012, I began work at The Sanctuary, a Rehabilitation and Retreat Centre in Byron Bay. The Sanctuary is a treatment and recovery centre which runs programmes for patients recovering from substance abuse, behaviour addictions and eating disorders.
It was during my time at The Sanctuary that I learned about the Gestalt approach to Psychotherapy and in 2020 I completed my Master’s degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy.
I currently work in private practice in Bangalow where I see individual clients and couples/families. I offer online sessions when proximity or other restrictions mean that working together isn’t possible.
